MEN’S BOXING: Chris Eubank Junior beat Conor Benn by a unanimous points decision in their non-title middleweight bout on Saturday evening.

The undercard bouts also went the distance with former WBO cruiserweight champion Chris Billam-Smith overcoming Brandon Glenton, Ireland’s unbeaten Aaron McKenna outpointing Liam Smith to win the WBA international middleweight belt and light-heavyweight Anthony Yarde earning a unanimous decision over Lyndon Arthur.

MEN’S RUGBY UNION: Leinster suffered only their second defeat of the United Rugby Championship season after slumping to a 35-22 defeat at the Scarlets.

Second-placed Glasgow also slipped up, 26-19 at home to the Bulls, Zebre drew 25-25 with Edinburgh, Durban edged a 22-19 win in Ulster and Cardiff edged out Munster 26-21.

The Stormers thumped Treviso 56-5, bottom of the table Newport lost 57-24 at Ospreys and the Lions saw off Connacht 26-7.

MEN’S FOOTBALL: Cardiff were relegated from the Championship with a game to go after they drew 0-0 with West Bromwich Albion and Luton had beaten play-off chasing Coventry 1-0.

Plymouth secured a 2-1 win at out-of-form Preston, Hull dropped into the relegation zone thanks to a 1-0 home defeat by fellow strugglers Derby and Stoke are also not safe following their 2-0 loss to Sheffield United.

MEN’S RUGBY LEAGUE: Four-time defending champions Penrith sit second bottom of the NRL after going down 26-10 against Manly while table-topping Canterbury lost their unbeaten record 42-18 at the Broncos.

Second-placed Melbourne beat the Rabbitohs 24-16, Newcastle lost 26-12 at the NZ Warriors and the Roosters thumped St George Illawarra 46-18.

North Queensland crushed Gold Coast 50-18, Canberra came from behind to beat the Dolphins 40-28 and Wests edged Cronulla 20-18 on Sunday morning.
