Nearly 1 million people killed in 20 years of US 'war on terror' – report
Country has also spent approximately $8tn on the conquests since 2001, a Brown University study finds

THE US war on terror has killed almost one million people across the world and cost the country some $8 trillion (about £5.8tn) over the past 20 years, according to a new report.

The Costs of War Project by Brown University estimated that between 897,000 and 929,000 people have lost their lives as a direct result of war more than 80 countries.
