THE world is facing the consequences of a worsening global crisis of capitalism together with the Covid-19 pandemic which accelerated the deterioration of the majority of people’s living conditions — conditions which were already precarious due to the structural crisis underway.
Venezuela does not escape this reality, and in order to evaluate the current situation of Venezuelan women, we must take into account the following four aspects.
Firstly, the consequences of a capitalist crisis and pandemic, circumstances which have been taken advantage of by the forces of capital and the governments in its service to strip the masses of their gains and impose greater levels of over-exploitation, redoubling all shortages, particularly for women.
