Enforcement starts on 20mph limit in Wales
20mph speed limit sign, April 21, 2009

ROAD safety enforcers in Wales are stepping up action from tomorrow to enforce the 20mph speed limit.

The GoSafe camera partnership in Wales made up of police, council and government officials will be enforcing the Welsh government’s new 20mph default speed limit in built-up areas in Wales.

The default speed limit was introduced last September 17 as Wales became the first British nation to lower speed limits in residential areas from 30mph.
