MISSION ACCOMPLISHED: Ron Brown about to reach his final destination [Author supplied]

OUR fundraising walking hero Ron Brown reached Kirk Yetholm on Thursday evening ending his 13-day, 268-mile walk of the Pennine Way.

His trek took 13 days to complete and he ended two days ahead of schedule, pushing himself to the limit on a few days to cover more terrain.

Followers of his Facebook page will have been able to keep abreast of how Ron coped each day and night the ups and downs not just of the hills but his energy and determination.
