SPEEDWAY: Birmingham sit bottom of the Premiership and are now the only team without a win after they lost both matches in their bank holiday double-header with Oxford.

At the other end of the table, league leaders Ipswich came from behind after nine heats to see off King’s Lynn 53-37.

Manchester and Sheffield shared the honours in their double-header but Sheffield bagged the bonus point thanks to a 101-79 aggregate win.

Inoue improved his unbeaten record to 30 fights while Cardenas suffered a first defeat since 2017.

On the undercard unbeaten Rafael Espinoza stopped Edward Vazques in the 7th round to retain his WBO featherweight belt.

MEN’S CRICKET: The Pakistan Super League resumes Wednesday with a top-of-the-table clash between Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United.

Quetta hold a one-point advantage over Islamabad and third-placed Karachi, who are not in action until Thursday when they face Peshawar Zalmi.
