MEN’S HOCKEY: Zach Wallace and Sam Ward both scored twice as Great Britain thumped China 6-0 on Thursday to maintain their 100 per cent record and set up a semi-final with New Zealand at the Olympic qualifying competition in Oman tomorrow. Germany will face Pakistan in the other semi with only the finalists and third-placed team guaranteed a spot at this year’s Paris Olympics.
MEN’S CRICKET: Josh Hazlewood took 5-35 as Australia romped to a 10-wicket victory over the West Indies on the third day of the first test in Adelaide. The second and final test starts in Brisbane on Thursday.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: Manchester make the long journey south to Colchester tomorrow afternoon to take on the Essex Rebels in the first semi-final of the Betty Codona Trophy. MEN’S FOOTBALL: Nine-time winners The New Saints take on Swansea City’s under-21s in Saturday evening’s Welsh League Cup final at Barry Town’s Jenner Park stadium. Runaway Cymru Premier table-toppers The New Saints are on a 17-match winning league and cup run.
