A disciplinary hearing held by Dorset Police dismissed PC Lorne Castle after the incident in Bournemouth on January 27 2024.
A force spokesman said: “PC Castle was seen to use unnecessary and inappropriate words towards the boy and place both his hands on his throat.
“His shouting, swearing, finger pointing, taking hold of the boy’s face and throat and suggested use of leg restraints was not necessary, reasonable or proportionate.”
He added that Mr Castle will be placed on the police barred list, which will prevent him from holding any further role within policing.
No further action was taken against the boy in relation to the reported assaults, but out-of-court action was taken against him for possessing a knife which fell out of his pocket during the arrest.
