THE search for survivors continued today after a nightclub roof collapsed in the Dominican Republic’s capital, Santo Domingo.
The collapse, which killed at least 113 people, happened during a merengue concert at the iconic Jet Set nightclub attended by politicians, athletes and others.
Emergency operations director Juan Manuel Mendez said on Tuesday evening sounds were still being heard in the rubble of the one-storey building and the rescue crews were prioritising three areas.
