AT LEAST seven people were killed during Israeli air raids in southern Lebanon on Thursday.

Israel’s latest offensive against Lebanon is entering its second month.

An Israeli attack on the town of Ramadiyeh, in the Tyre district, killed at least four people and wounded three others, according to Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health.

A separate Israeli air raid killed three people when a two-storey residential building was hit in Kfarsir, in the Nabatieh district, according to the National News Agency.

Other Israeli attacks were reported in Yater, Harouf and Zebdine, although no casualties were immediately reported.

Israel claims the attacks are being carried out against Hezbollah which, according to local reports, has scored its own successes against the invading Israeli forces.

Hezbollah claimed on Thursday that it had launched a series of rocket attacks against Israeli troops as well as infrastructure in northern Israel and border areas.

In a statement, Hezbollah said that it hit “infrastructure belonging to the Israeli military in the Kiryat Ata area,” east of the city of Haifa.

Local reports say that fierce fighting is taking place between Hezbollah and Israeli troops in southern Lebanon, with the resistance group targeting Israeli troops with rocket attacks near the town of Antara.
