There have been penalties for those who looked the other way when Epstein was convicted of child sex offences and decided to maintain relationships with the financier — but not for the British ambassador to Washington, reveals SOLOMON HUGHES

ON Monday October 24, Colombia’s Special Jurisdiction for Peace (JEP) granted amnesty to Rodrigo Granda, a former leader of the demobilised guerilla group the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (Farc), who was convicted of rebellion.
Granda was convicted in April 2006 by the third criminal court of the Cucuta Circuit, in the Norte de Santander department. He was sentenced to 70 months in prison.
After ratifying the political nature of the crime, the JEP ordered the withdrawal of criminal and accessory sanctions against Granda, as well as of his fiscal, disciplinary or criminal record.
