MEN’S BASKETBALL: Boston Celtics let a 22- point lead slip in the final quarter to lose 115-114 at the Cleveland Cavaliers but they still lead the NBA’s Eastern Conference by 7.5 games. Atlanta improved their play-off hopes with a 116-100 win at the New York Knicks while in the West Kevin Durant scored 35 points as the Phoenix Suns enjoyed an 117-107 overtime win at last year’s NBA champions Denver.
MEN’S RUGBY LEAGUE: Super League resumes tomorrow evening with Sam Burgess’s Warrington team up against Hull Kingston Rovers at Craven Park. Both teams have started the season with two wins and a loss. In Australia Kai Pearce-Paul and Morgan Smithies, who were both in Wigan’s Grand Final winning team last year, will be on opposite sides when the Newcastle Knights kick off their NRL campaign against the Canberra Raiders.
MEN’S CRICKET: While England play the dead rubber of their Test series with India in Dharamsala tomorrow New Zealand take on Australia in Christchurch looking to get back on level terms in their two-match series. Tomorrow’s one-day internationals see Ireland start a three-match series against Afghanistan in Sharjah and Scotland face Canada again in Dubai’s World Cup League Two tournament. The Canadians comfortably won last Friday’s match by 7 wickets.
