MEN’S RUGBY LEAGUE:
Super League continues tomorrow evening with Leeds up against Hull Kingston Rovers at Craven Park.
Both teams won their opening games after Leeds came from behind to edge out Salford 22-16 and Hull KR romped to a 22-0 win at neighbours Hull FC.
Hull KR’s Matt Parcell will miss tonight’s game due to a one-match ban, and back-rower Dean Hadley is also ruled out after failing a head injury assessment.
MEN’S TENNIS:
Despite needing a medical timeout early in the first set, Andy Murray ended his six-match losing streak that stretched back to October 2023 with a 6-1, 7-6 (7-5) win over Alexandre Muller in the first round of the Qatar Open on Tuesday.
Murray, who is currently ranked 50th in world tennis, 25 places above Muller, reached the quarter-finals at this event last year.
MEN’S FOOTBALL:
Four-time champions of Europe Ajax resume their fight for survival in the Europa Conference League tomorrow evening when they visit Norway to take on Bode/Glimt in the second leg of the knock-out play-off round.
The Dutch needed two injury-time goals to rescue a 2-2 draw in last week’s first leg.
Ajax are currently one place outside of the European qualification places in their domestic league.
MEN’S BASKETBALL:
The NBA season restarts tonight with current pace-setters Boston Celtics looking to maintain their four-game lead over Minnesota when they visit a misfiring Chicago Bulls team.
Last year’s champions Denver are a further three games behind Boston and had lost their last three games before the break.
They face the Washington Wizards, who have the second-worst record in the competition, in the early hours of Friday morning.
