NICOLAS MADURO has placed the Venezuelan army on high alert to protect the country from “unconventional warfare tactics” by the United States, which is believed to be plotting attacks on public services.

Measures have been taken to deal with the blackouts, including the rationing of electricity, while the government has appealed to the United Nations to stop US acts of “terrorism” against the people of Venezuela.
