Venezuela calls on US to respect international law

VENEZUELA called on the United States to respect international law and the country’s sovereignty today.

The Bolivarian government hit out after hawkish US Secretary of State Antony Blinken made unfounded claims of harassment and “unfair conditions” in last Sunday’s elections.

President Nicolas Maduro’s United Socialist Party of Venezuela sealed a resounding victory in the mega-poll, taking the governorship of 20 of the country’s 23 states.
