Iran charges 750 people for participating in ‘riots’
IRANIAN authorities have charged more than 750 people in three provinces for participating in what they describe as “riots”, local media reported on Sunday.
This comes amid nationwide protests that followed the death of Kurdish Iranian woman Mahsa Amini.
More than 2,000 people had already been charged, nearly half of them in the capital Tehran, since the demonstrations began in mid-September, according to judiciary figures.
