White House takes control of Trump press pool

FREE speech advocates in the United States expressed alarm at Tuesday’s announcement that the White House will take control of the press pool that covers President Donald Trump.

The move represents an unprecedented seizing of control over coverage of the US presidency by any administration.

Traditionally, the members of the pool decide who goes in small spaces such as the Oval Office and Air Force One.
