FORMER US president Donald Trump considered bombing Mexico to destroy drug labs and kill cartels, insisting that “no-one would know it was us,” it has been claimed.

The revelations are made in former defence secretary Mark Esper’s forthcoming book A Sacred Oath, the New York Times reported on Thursday. 

“We could just shoot some Patriot missiles and take out the labs, quietly,” Mr Trump is alleged to have said during an exchange with Mr Esper.
