UCU members in over 100 colleges are balloting for strike action. This is our biggest co-ordinated campaign ever in further education. In higher education, we have called 5 days of national strike action at the end of this month and are balloting nationally for the third time in a year.
For far too long our colleges have been ignored by elites in the media and Parliament. But while their children will never set foot in a further education college, millions of working-class students do. And for communities throughout England, colleges are a lifeline, empowering students with the knowledge that can change their lives.
