MEN’S FOOTBALL: Palestine begin the third round phase of the Asian Football Confederation’s World Cup qualifiers with a group B match against South Korea in Seoul tomorrow. The Koreans, ranked 73 places above the Palestinians, have called up Yang Min-Hyeok for his international debut. The 18-year-old winger signed for Tottenham from Korean League leaders Gangwon in the summer and is set to join the north Londoners in January.

MEN’S RUGBY LEAGUE: Last year’s National Rugby League Grand Final runners-up the Brisbane Broncos play their last game of the season tomorrow against table-toppers Melbourne already knowing that not even a big win will be enough to get them into a top eight play-off spot. The Broncos will be missing centre Kotoni Staggs and second-rower Brendan Piakura due to injury while full back Ryan Papenhuyzen is again missing for Melbourne.

HORSE RACING: Hollie Doyle has become the second British woman to reach a thousand wins after piloting Leyhaimur to victory in Tuesday’s 3.30 at Goodwood. The 27-year-old, who currently sits eighth in this year’s flat racing jockey’s championship with 50 wins will be racing at Ascot tomorrow afternoon. Hayley Turner was the first British woman to ride a thousand winners when she achieved the feat in November last year.
