WOMEN’S FOOTBALL: Arsenal face eight-time winners Lyon in the first leg of their Champions League semi final at Ashburton Grove on Saturday afternoon. The French club have played in 11 of the last 15 finals and were last year’s runners-up. The other semi final clash sees Chelsea visit defending champions Barcelona on Sunday evening. The Blues lost to the Catalonians at the semi final stage in 2023 and 2024.

MEN’S DARTS: The form book was shredded on Thursday night in Rotterdam as Chris Dobey beat bottom of the table Stephen Bunting 6-2 to win his first Premier League event of the season. Table-topping Luke Littler lost 6-5 in the semi finals to Bunting but increased his lead in the competition to seven points from second-placed Luke Humphries with Nathan Aspinall in third. Next week’s 12th leg takes place in Liverpool.

MEN’S CYCLING: Double Olympic champion Remco Evenepoel returns to the peloton for Sunday’s Gold men’s race just four months after he fractured ribs, a shoulder blade and hand in a practice ride crash. Last year’s winner Tom Pidcock will also be up against the likes of world champion Tadej Pogacar, last year’s runners-up Marc Hirshi and Wout van Aert in this first Ardennes classic of the season.
