WOMEN’S FOOTBALL: Nine-time Scottish Cup winners Glasgow City take on Motherwell in tomorrow’s first semi-final before holders Rangers are up against Aberdeen on Sunday. Both matches will be taking place at Hampden Park. Rangers currently sit second in the Women’s Premier League, one point ahead of third-placed Glasgow City while Motherwell are sixth and Aberdeen eighth. The final will take place on the last weekend in May.

SPEEDWAY: Jason Doyle top-scored with 11+1 points as Ipswich Witches thrashed Birmingham 60-30 on Thursday evening to maintain their 100 per cent record and move five points clear at the top of the Premiership. Birmingham are yet to pick up a win and sit second bottom, one place ahead of Oxford who slumped to a heavy 33-57 defeat at Sheffield. Chris Holder top-scored for Sheffield with 13+1 points from five rides.

DARTS: Gerwyn Price beat Luke Humphries 6-4 in Thursday’s Premier League final in Liverpool to move third in the table, trailing league leader Luke Littler by 10 points and sitting six behind second-placed Humphries. Littler let slip a 4-0 lead to lose 6-5 against Michael van Gerwen in the first round while bottom of the table Stephen Bunting went down 6-1 to Rob Cross in his opening match. Birmingham hosts next week’s round.

MEN’S BASKETBALL: Jaiden Delaire top-scored with 23 points and Terrell Holloway netted another 22 as the London Lions overcame Leicester 97-80 to seal the inaugural Super League title with a game to spare. Thursday’s other match saw Manchester continue their resurgence under head coach Herman Mandole as Zak Irvin hit 24 points in a 104-88 victory over the Surrey 76ers which moved them up to fourth in the table.
