MEN’S CYCLING: Mexico’s Isaac del Toro claimed his first ever one-day triumph after winning Wednesday’s Milan-Turin race.
Covering just under 200km and first raced in 1876, Milan-Turin is the oldest one-day race on the calendar. Briton Ben Tullet finished second with Norway’s Tobias Halland Jorgensen third, a further eight seconds back, after the three of them sprinted for the line.
Del Toro’s teammate Adam Yates was fourth.
