Hezbollah leader calls for greater efforts to stop Israeli attacks

HEZBOLLAH leader Naim Kassem has called on Lebanon’s government to work harder to end Israeli attacks on the country.

Giving a televised speech on Monday evening, Mr Kassem said that his resistance movement had implemented the ceasefire deal that ended the 14-month Israel-Hezbollah war in late November, but Israel is continuing to carry out attacks almost every day.

An Israeli air strike hit a Beirut suburb on Sunday and Israel’s military has admitted conducting more than 50 strikes on Lebanon this month, claiming that Hezbollah has violated the US-brokered ceasefire.
