Morning Star Conference
Help distribute free copies of the Morning Star at the NHS rally on Saturday
NHS demo in London, March 2018

JOIN the Morning Star on Saturday June 30 as we celebrate the 70th birthday of the NHS and continue the fight to keep it a publicly owned service, free for all from cradle to grave.

The Morning Star has played a crucial role in highlighting risks to the NHS and has helped publicise campaigns against hospital closures, reported on the junior doctors strike and the campaign to reinstate nurses’ bursaries.

Saturday’s special edition includes an exclusive eight-page supplement from Health Campaigns Together (HTC).

HCT is a coalition of organisations campaigning to defend the National Health Service against cutbacks, fragmentation, market-style reforms and privatisation.

Its objective is to reinstate a comprehensive, universal, publicly owned, provided and publicly accountable NHS which is free at the point of use and has the resources to provide 21st-century care for all on a long-term and sustainable basis.

In addition there will be articles from John Lister, Harry Leslie Smith, Gail Cartmail and interviews with workers in the health sector.

We will be distributing thousands of copies from 11am outside the BBC, Portland Place, London W1A.

Can you help with the distribution? Email circulation@peoples-press.com and let us know.

Are you organising transport to the event? Place your order for a free parcel, email circulation@peoples-press.com last orders by Thursday afternoon.

Has your union branch or organisation placed an advert of solidarity? There is still time. Prices start from £50 for a small box advert up to £1,600 for a full page. Contact ads@peoples-press.com for more details.

Let’s send a message to the Tory government that they are on the back foot with the NHS.

We love our NHS and we will fight for its survival. The Morning Star is central to the campaign and we rely on your support so that we can be an effective tool and support organisations like HCT.

Organise for the day, volunteer to help distribute, order papers for coaches and place your adverts today.
