Birmingham just the tip of council cash crisis, Starmer warns
LABOUR leader Sir Keir Starmer said today that there are versions of the financial crisis at Birmingham City Council “across the country” as he pledged to look at a settlement for local authorities.

It means that all new spending will stop immediately, with exceptions for the protection of vulnerable people and statutory services.
