DARTS: World champion Luke Humphries beat Michael van Gerwen 18-15 to win his first World Matchplay tournament on Sunday night.
Humphries has won seven major tournaments in the last 12 months.
Earlier in the day, world champion Beau Greaves averaged 98.75 as she beat Fallon Sherrock 6-3 to complete a successful defence of the women’s title.
Humphries collected £200,000 prize money while Greaves received just £10,000.
MEN’S CYCLING: Tadej Pogacar’s team-mate Adam Yates was the highest placed Briton at the Tour de France after finishing sixth, 24 minutes behind the winner.
His brother Simon was next best in 12th. Oscar Onley finished 39th in his first Tour, three places above 2018’s winner Gerraint Thomas.
Stephen Williams was almost four hours back in 73rd with Ben Turner 115th, Daniel McClay 136th and Mark Cavendish last in 141st place.
CRICKET: The Hundred gets under way at the Oval on Tuesday, with men’s champions the Oval Invincibles up against Birmingham Phoenix after the earlier women’s game.
The Invincibles will be captained by Sam Billings, while Phoenix will be led by Moeen Ali.
Last year’s women’s champions the Southern Brave are not in action until Wednesday when they host England captain Heather Knight’s London Spirit in Southampton.
