WOMEN’S CYCLING: Kim Le Court sprinted to win Sunday’s final stage at the Giro D’Italia, but it was Elisa Longho Borghini who claimed overall victory for the first time after leading the General Classification from start to finish.
Borghini finished 21 seconds ahead of Lotte Kopecky with Neve Bradbury a further 55 seconds back in third.
Clare Steels was Britain’s highest placed rider, almost 37 minutes behind in 26th place.
