After steering home the Stan Moore trained Kodicall by a head he partnered 20/1 shot Zambezi Magic to a narrow victory in the final race of the day. He also finished second on 28/1 outsider Law of Design.

Cox has only been first past the post in six races this season and sits 106 wins behind current championship jockey leader Billy Loughnane.
