MEN’S FOOTBALL: Connell Ewan scored in stoppage time to give Brora Rangers a crucial 2-1 win over Brechin City in Wednesday night’s top of the table Highland League clash.

Brora now lead on goal difference with just one game to play. They visit Huntly on Saturday and Brechin are at Turriff.

Brora won last season’s title on goal difference from Brechin before losing in the promotion play-off final against Lowland League’s East Kilbride.


NETBALL: Second-placed defending champions London Pulse kickstart the latest round of Super League action tomorrow evening with a capital city derby against the Mavericks.

Undefeated table-toppers Loughborough Lightning are at Nottingham Forest on Saturday after bottom club Birmingham look to end their winless start to the season when they take on the Dragons in Cardiff and Manchester have hosted Leeds.


MEN’S BASKETBALL: South Sudanese international Both Gach top-scored with 21 points and Adam Mokaka weighed in with 15 as Bourg-en-Bresse cruised to a 94-78 win over Turk Telecom Ankara in Wednesday evening’s EuroCup semi final.

The French team will meet Istanbul’s Besiktas over three legs in next month’s final.

Bourg-en-Bresse were EuroCup runners up to Paris in 2024 after beating Besiktas in the lost four.


MEN’S FOOTBALL: Leicester City have lost their appeal against a six-point deduction that was imposed for breaking profit and sustainability rules over a three-year period.

2016’s Premier League champions, who reached the Champions League quarter finals a year later, have won once in their last 16 matches and currently sit in the Championship relegation zone, one point from safety with only five games to escape the drop.
