SNOOKER: 2024 World Champion Kyren Wilson beat John Higgins 10-6 to win the Masters title at London’s Alexandra Palace on Sunday evening.
As well as picking up the Paul Hunter trophy, Wilson won £350,000 in prize money while Higgins pocketed £140,000 and China’s Wu Yize collected £15,000 for the tournament’s highest break.
On his Masters debut, Yize scored 137 in a first round victory over defending champion Shaun Murphy.
AMERICAN FOOTBALL: New England saw off Houston 28-16 on Sunday evening to set up a Super Bowl semi-final with Denver, who had edged to 33-30 overtime win over Buffalo. Denver’s quarter back Bo Nix broke his ankle during the game’s finale.
