Free Palestine, End The Genocide first national demo to take place since March
People take part in a pro-Palestine march in central London, organised by a number of groups under the Palestine Coalition banner, March 15, 2025

THE first national demonstration for Palestine since March will take place in London tomorrow as an Israeli blockade continues to prevent food and medical supplies from entering the Gaza Strip.

Campaigners are planning for a big turnout as they continue to press the government to cut ties with Israel after it announced its plans to ethnically cleanse and occupy the whole of the Palestinian territory.

The Palestine Solidarity Campaign, the Stop the War Coalition and the Peace and Justice Project highlighted the recent anniversary of the Nakba in the lead-up to the protests taking place across all of Britain’s major cities.

London is expected to draw large crowds of protesters, who will chant slogans against British foreign policy in the Middle East as they march past the symbols of power in Westminster.

Stop the War founder and national chairman Chris Nineham told the Morning Star today that the “demonstration is going to be massive.

“This reflects the fact that this is taking place against the background [of] a renewed offence against Gaza, which constitutes a genocide.

“It is crucial that this demo is a launchpad for a new surge in the movement.”

He added: “There are signs of cracks in the Establishment’s support for Israel. Our movement must exploit those weaknesses to the maximum of our ability.

“We must force the government to go beyond words of condemnation and insist they must end all military, diplomatic and political support for Israel.”

The demonstrators will assemble at noon at Embankment Tube station in central London.
