Novel Italian tactics bewilder error-prone Red Rose until second half

England 36-15 Italy by David Nicholson at Twickenham

THIS topsy-turvy Six Nations almost went into overdrive at Twickenham yesterday as England finally asserted themselves to beat an Italian team that had embarrassed the home side for much of this game.

Italy tore up the form book to lead England at half-time with the home side looking for a 17th straight win.
