Scottish firefighters reject deal over job role change

FIREFIGHTERS in Scotland have demanded bosses come up with a better pay offer after raising concerns about the expansion of job responsibilities.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) had offered a 16 per cent pay rise to staff, phased over four years.

But in return it says firefighters would face cuts to payments for additional duties and for training courses.
