Richard Leonard calls on government to get fans back to games safely and quickly
SCOTTISH Labour leader Richard Leonard has urged the Scottish government to set out a plan to get football fans back in stadiums as soon as safely possible.
With supporters in England allowed back at games played in cities in Tier 2 or below, the Scottish game is yet to set a date for the return of live crowds.
In talks with the Scottish Professional Football League, Leonard and the governing body discussed a similar proposal to the one currently being used in the Premier League and English Football League — a maximum of 2,000 socially distanced fans.
