Wales struggle to beat 14-men Ireland
A RELIEVED Wales head coach Wayne Pivac will be glad to have the win for his side, but there will be questions asked about why the home side struggled so much against 14 men for 65 minutes.
Ireland lost their veteran back-row forward after just 15 minutes as Peter O’Mahoney was shown a red card by referee Wayne Barnes for a reckless shoulder barge to the head as he tried to clear out a ruck.
The one-man advantage should have opened the game up for Wales as they began to have space to play.
