Journalist shot dead during a live Facebook broadcast

NICARAGUAN journalist Angel Gahona has been shot dead during a live broadcast of anti-government protests.

Mr Gahona was broadcasting live on Facebook, covering demonstrations in the coastal town of Bluefields when he was fired at.

He slumped to the ground after being hit by the bullet and  footage showed people running towards him screaming his name.
