Israeli settlers attack mosque near Ramallah

ISRAELI settlers vandalised and attempted to burn down a mosque near the Palestinian administrative capital Ramallah today, the Palestinian Authority reported today.

Palestinian Duty Minister for Religious Affairs Hussam Abu al-Rub said that a group of settlers attacked the mosque after midnight, spray-painting anti-Palestinian slogans in Hebrew and then hurling fire bombs inside.

El-Bireh mosque in the West Bank is on a hilltop opposite an Israeli settlement.
