BRITAIN was accused of employing a “denial, delay and death” strategy for dealing with the legacy of the Troubles today.
Campaigner Ciaran MacAirt accused Westminster of attempting to delay or block justice for the victims and survivors as it presses for an amnesty for crimes committed by British soldiers and paramilitaries in Ireland.
The Time for Truth organiser, whose grandparents were among the 15 people killed in the 1971 McGurk’s Bar bombing, was commenting after the latest delay in the legal challenge over the 1989 assassination of lawyer Pat Finucane.
