Syrians protest against Israeli expansion plans in occupied Golan Heights
HUNDREDS of Syrians rallied in opposition to Israel’s plans to double the settler population in the occupied Golan Heights today, vowing to resist demographic change.
Protesters gathered close to the border, restating their loyalty to Damascus and declaring that they would block the construction of more illegal settlements there.
Israeli Prime Minister Natfali Bennett told ministers yesterday: “This is our moment. This is the moment of the Golan Heights,” as they gathered in Golan’s Mevo Hama community.
