Australian-Iranian man imprisoned in Tehran has died

AN 83-YEAR-OLD Australian-Iranian man imprisoned in Tehran for more than two years has died after his death rapidly deteriorated, his family said today.

Shokrollah Jebeli, who was imprisoned on allegations of fraud, died in Evin prison hospital on Sunday, according to his son Peyman.

His death occurred amid increased attention to the plight of dual nationals imprisoned in Iran.
