IN THE midst of a cost-of-living emergency, workers are increasingly looking to the Scottish government to use the significant powers available to it to deliver urgent support.
In recent weeks, I have been calling on the Scottish government to use its powers to introduce an emergency rent freeze to support tenants in the private rented sector.
Bringing in a rent freeze, to prevent landlords continuing to impose above-inflation rent hikes on cash strapped tenants, is something which can and must be delivered in Scotland.
