Regular skipper Itoje has been named on bench for first time since 2017
CITY of Liverpool FC (COLFC) used their high-profile friendly against fellow supporter-run club FC United of Manchester last week to raise awareness for the trade unions’ ongoing fight for workers’ rights, conditions and fair pay.
Members of the RMT were given free entry, with representatives from Liverpool, Manchester and London in attendance at the game in Bootle.
COLFC have supported the unions on numerous occasions previously, including backing the RMT’s Keep The Guard on the Train campaign during a game against Widnes in 2017.
