XR co-founder Dr Gail Bradbrook

EXTINCTION REBELLION (XR) co-founder Gail Bradbrook will face trial tomorrow for breaking a window at the Department of Transport (DfT) in London.

In October 2019, Dr Bradbrook climbed onto the government building to protest against the department’s policies, such as support for High Speed Rail 2 and Heathrow airport expansion, amid a climate emergency.

She could face a four-year prison sentence if found guilty.
