Wales' First Minister attacks Tory government's budget
Mark Drakeford, First Minister of Wales, September 27, 2021

FIRST MINISTER Mark Drakeford took to social media today to say that Chancellor Jeremy Hunt’s Budget contained no new money for Wales the day after the Senedd approved the Welsh government’s budget.

The budget for Wales is £1.3 billion less than when it was set in 2021 because of inflation and will lead to cuts to public services across Wales.

Mr Drakeford said the chancellor had only mentioned previously announced schemes, along with tax cuts that make little difference to those most in need.
