Tenants’ union blockades social housing provider in Cambridge over safety concerns
Acorn activists protest against social housing provider Places for People in Cambridge, January 15, 2025

CAMPAIGNERS blocked the headquarters of a housing association in Cambridge over mould and safety concerns on Tuesday.

Tenants’ union Acorn led the demonstration outside Places for People, the managing body of Radiance House, which it says has been plagued by issues for years.

Acorn represents two residents who have complained about mould, poor ventilation, faulty wiring and fire and safety. It says that some issues had been raised for as long as eight years.
