Unipart rail staff in Crewe strike over union derecognition
Rmt flags

RAIL workers at Unipart Rail’s Crewe Depot walked out today over the firm’s “disgraceful” decision to strip them of RMT union recognition.

RMT described the move as an assault on workplace rights, saying that it has sparked outrage among staff who are demanding their right to collective representation be immediately restored.

Further strike action is planned for February 25, and a new ballot has also been launched to renew its mandate for industrial action.
