MEN’S FOOTBALL: England’s under-21s continue their Euros qualifying campaign tomorrow evening with a crucial match against Northern Ireland in Coleraine. The English are level on points with Group F leaders Ukraine but have played a game more. The Ukrainians put their 100 per cent record on the line against Serbia tomorrow while Scotland meet unbeaten Spain in Group B’s top of the table clash and Ireland are in Turkey.

MEN’S CRICKET: Scotland face Australia at the Grange in Edinburgh tomorrow afternoon for the second leg of their three match Twenty20 series. The Aussies cruised to a seven-wicket win with more than 10 overs to spare in Wednesday’s opening game after Travis Head smashed five sixes and 12 fours on his way to reaching 80 from just 25 balls. George Munsey was Scotland’s top scorer with 28 from 16 balls.

NETBALL: Reigning champions Loughborough Lightning have named four new signings in their 10-woman squad for the upcoming Super League season. Berri Neil has transferred from London Pulse, Jodie Gibson joins from the Mavericks, Shadine van der Merwe has been poached from last year’s runners-up Manchester Thunder and Trinidad and Tobago international Sammy Wallace Joseph moves from Australian champions the New South Wales Swifts.

MEN’S RUGBY LEAGUE: The Super League’s top two meet tonight as Hull KR travel to Wigan. The teams are currently level on points but Hull have a vastly superior points difference. Elsewhere tomorrow evening Leigh visit Castleford needing a win to firm up their their chances of reaching the play-offs and Leeds, who can also still make it into the top six, face a struggling Hull FC desperate to keep off the bottom spot.
