Women’s resistance will defeat Turkey, guerillas say as demands for chemical weapons probe intensify
Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) fighter Hebun Kato

WOMEN’S resistance will drive Turkish troops out of the mountains of Iraqi Kurdistan, Kurdish guerillas said today as pressure mounted over the invaders’ alleged use of chemical weapons.

Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) fighter Hebun Kato told the ANF news agency that the guerillas have shown “great courage and the most intense commitment” in combating Turkey’s six-month military offensive.

She said that despite a ground invasion and intense bombing of the mountainous Duhok region, which borders southern Turkey, Ankara’s forces have failed to gain ground.
