SUDANESE Communist Party (SCP) officials paid tribute to the “glorious martyrs” who were killed by security forces on Saturday as they urged maximum resistance to defeat the military coup.

At least four protesters were gunned down by security forces while another died from suffocation by tear gas, medics said after mass demonstrations were set upon in the capital Khartoum and its twin city Omdurman.

“Glory and eternity to the martyrs. Quick recovery to the wounded and injured. Revolution until victory,” the party said.
